What’s up with gnome-terminal’s copy/paste?

It used to be that gnome-terminal was the best terminal (IMO) because of nice font handling, the control-click opening of URLs, a good termcap for use with screen, etc.

Then at some point (a couple years ago), it started going downhill. The biggest problem is the cut and paste. It often misses line feeds, so that the lines are all strung together.

How do they not see that this makes gnome-terminal totally useless? I never know if I’m going to get a good paste anymore, so I always have to paste things into a file, fix them up, and then cat the file into what I want, rather than just pasting it in.

Gnome is getting worse and worse, 1.4 was the last time I actually enjoyed using it :/
